Taos Communications Empire is a full-service independent film development, production and distribution company located in Albuquerque, NM. It has been producing uniquely interesting, high quality films since 1997. We are interested in developing and producing independent features and documentaries in New Mexico for those with a unique story to tell as well as working with public and private organizations seeking to use film and the Internet as an adjunct distribution channel. development Taos Communications Empire and its partner Badger Films are interested in developing feature scripts that can be shot in New Mexico. We are also looking for off-beat and compelling documentary ideas.
Production Taos Communications Empire and Badger Films have access to union and non-union crew and resources across the state, and can assemble crews to fit your budget. We can also help with budgeting, contracts, insurance and obtaining tax rebates and other incentives offered by the State of New Mexico for film projects shot here.
Distribution Taos Communications Empire specializes in on-line distribution, but is also developing channels in more traditional areas of distribution. The company recently entered into a deal with UFO-TV to distribute the acclaimed documentary "High Strange New Mexico," and has produced documentaries aired on PBS.
The platform we use for on line distribution is provided by the same company that provides streaming services to ABC, Disney, ESPN and is capable of streaming any length film, or video in DVD quality, or better.
